Position Description

Assumes a strategic role in the overall management of Global Manufacturing Operations. Works with key business leaders. Sets the manufacturing priorities and executes the growth plans of the Global operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops the manufacturing operational strategy considering external manufacturing trends (new and innovative practices) and aligning with global business needs; oversees the execution of the overall plan
  2. Directs and guides assigned operations to assure effective results consistent with established objectives and goals; analyzes and appraises the effectiveness of all assigned operations, including global supply chain execution
  3. Defines and recommends objectives in each area of operations; develops specific short-and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests, to include, capital expenditures and financial estimates; ensures that budgeted goals are achieved and cost objectives are met
  4. Formulates and recommends operating policies and objectives or changes in existing policies and objectives; ensures compliance with, and implementation of, approved policies and objectives
  5. Participates in resolving operating problems and difficulties; establishes and maintains effective internal relationships; authorizes procedures and coordinates operations; obtains and evaluates general and specific business conditions
  6. Participates in representing the organization in its relationship with customers, vendors, consultants, legal counsel, governmental representatives, the general public
  7. Participates as a strategic contributor by ensuring major operational considerations are represented during strategic and long-term planning for functional area or business global group
  8. Interacts regularly with executives and/or major customers on highly visible activities such as negotiations with customers or influencing other executives
  9. Directs the work of groups of employees (leads through subordinate managers and directors)
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrated strengths with respect to manufacturing capabilities, pricing strategies, and negotiation tactics.

  • Ability to problem solve in a strategic and opportunistic manner
  • Excellent presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to clearly communicate
  • Proven ability to drive operational needs with a demonstrated ability to build relationships
  • Strong proponent of empowerment, growth and innovation
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in management/leadership level positions required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a multi-facility manufacturing setting preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or international travel as required up to 20%
