Medical Benefits

We offer you the choice of two plans: a high deductible PPO plan and a basic EPO plan, which include:

  • Premiums for single coverage -- less than $28 a week!
  • Preventative care covered at 100%
  • RX benefits -- Retail & mail order
  • Up to $400 in earned wellness credits
  • Support to participants who wish to lose weight, quit tobacco and manage their health

Health Accounts

Medical Plans are paired with a wellness program that provides employer contributions into a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) that can be used for your medical, dental and vision expenses.

Dental Plan

  • 100% preventative
  • $25 deductible ten 80% Restorative or 50% Major
  • $1,500 Annual benefit maximum (other than Preventative)
  • 50% dependent orthodontics up to $1500/Lifetime

Vision Plan

  • 100% routine eye exam coverage every 12 months
  • 100% for lenses and contacts every 12 months
  • Retail allowance for frames every 24 months

Retirement Benefits -- 401(k)

Employees can contribute up to 75% of eligible salary pre-tax and/or Roth. A wide array of mutual funds is available. Briggs & Stratton offers a generous 401(k) contribution, which is 100% vested upon deposit each pay period:

  • Employer contribution -- 3% of eligible pay
  • Matching contribution -- up to 4% of eligible pay

Life Insurance and AD&D

Life insurance is an important part of your financial security, especially if others depend on you for support. Briggs & Stratton provides life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment coverage at no cost to you. Additional coverage is also available as a voluntary benefit.
