Trainer Senior

Position Description

Conducts, develops and produces external-facing and employee-based training curriculum, incorporating feedback from the business. Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain a comprehensive learning catalog of engaging and effective training programs. Maintains and improves the classroom and workshop facilities for training programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, produces and presents training material, handouts, teaching aids and new curricula, using blended, adult learning principles/ methodologies, and established team standards and best practices.
  • Creates content and curriculum for self-paced and virtual/remote course offerings, including eLearning courses, utilizing industry standard eLearning software tools
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of current training methods, facilities and materials.
  • Partners with marketing and internal stakeholders with technical information for development of support materials.
  • Attends and leads training at high visibility functions such as sales meetings, trade shows and specialty dealer/customer meetings as needed.
  • Makes field visits as required to help assist with product issues, customer issues and to support training development needs.
  • Secures the facilities for training and completes administration of system information for participants.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to lower level Trainers
  • Maintains, prepares, and improves classroom or workshop facilities for programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of company products
  • Experience integrating theory and practice to deliver effective e-learning experiences
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to present and maintain a positive, professional image
  • Proficient use of applicable software, especially Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, or other authoring and design software tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in meeting training needs, tailor training to adult learning/ instructional design skills, and achieving results
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in training, instructional design or development
  • Prefered background in working with technical Subject Matter Experts

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Moderate travel
