Position Description
Performs hand assembly of world-class racing engines, from base elements to completed product for delivery. Selects combination of internal components to achieve tight overall tolerances and engine uniformity. Calibrates, sets-up and uses basic measurement and test equipment. Measures and records data for assigned projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Assembles engines by hand with the aid of DC drivers and other fixtures to achieve quality standards and uniformity
- Performs a variety of routine quality check assignments including various engineering tests using measurement devices and test equipment
- Runs CNC machining station and performs cleanup and process check
- Offers process improvement and quality control ideas
- Measures and documents all aspects of tests including objectives, procedures and results
- Compiles and computes a variety of engineering data; may analyze test data and prepare reports
- Makes recommendations for schematics, designs, test procedures and/or specifications
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Ability to set-up, calibrate and use measurement devices and test equipment
- Comfortable working independently on a small team
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex engineering software
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Experience Requirements
- One year of experience working with small/large engines, engine powered equipment or industry related products
- Background in motorsports / powersports is preferred
- Quality Control and process improvement experience preferred
