Supply Chain Improvement Specialist Associate

We're seeking our next Supply Chain Improvement Specialist Associate to join our team. In this role you'll have the chance to touch all aspects of the supply chain with a variety of work experiences. The position interacts with all business units and has a high level of viability to leadership. The role will have the opportunity to work remote up to two days per week after training is complete. 

Position Description

Leads cross-functional teams including external suppliers, under general supervision, to minimize supply chain risk and cost reduction programs.  Helps de-risk supply base by driving creative solutions to temporary and permanent supply chain problems.  Communicates project status with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supports cross-functional teams including external suppliers to minimize supply chain risk and cost reduction programs.

  2. Supports the identification of supplier capacity concerns and drives resolution by increasing the incumbent supplier’s capacity or dual sourcing.

  3. Develops and monitors project schedules and ensures projects meet deadlines 

  4. Communicates with internal and external customers regarding program progress 

  5. Ensures project targets and goals are clearly defined and delivered on time and on budget

  6. Supports multiple technical team members through trade-off studies to find best solutions to project requirements

  7. Highlights areas needing resolution and drives solutions

  8. Evaluates current processes and systems for cost reduction and improvement and determines project priorities

  9. Prepares and presents information and presentations for management project review meetings

  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Basic understanding of financial principles

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to form, work with and lead a team of diverse individuals in a variety of fields

  • Thinks creatively to solve complex problems

  • Negotiates with suppliers on cost and timing

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Basic project management skills

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of related experience preferred, open to train the right candidate. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 20% ad hoc.
