Position Description

The Supervisor of Sales Support is a member of the sales operations team whose primary role is to provide product support and training for the global sales team. This position is responsible for leading our product configuration, sku consolidation, new product development process for sales and lead our sales training strategy.  

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervises and performs daily activities of the product support and configuration management team utilizing coordinated teamwork cross-functionally between engineering, sales, marketing, service, compliance and product management to ensure timely creation of sales specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), change management and product data globally.

  2. Create and deliver sales training and enablement programs to ensure the sales team is equipped with content, resources, and tools to be effective.

  3. Assesses training needs and develops programs focused on product knowledge and effective sales techniques that will enable the sales team to maximize revenue potential. 

  4. Communicate global product line changes, product phase in/out and Compliance Changes affecting customers and effect on the global demand plan

  5. Serves as company-wide resource for product configuration and work with various levels of management and cross-functional groups to establish and apply rules within fast-moving, dynamic and technical advanced product platform while ensuring adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.

  6. Prepares and presents new product details to the various sales groups.

  7. Manages and maintains matrix to monitor departmental goals and implement continuous improvements to achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy.

  8. Manages procedural and process controls to ensure accuracy and reduction of errors.

  9. Perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management;department budget

  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Understanding of product structure and configuration management principles and knowledge of engineering processes and terms preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, writing skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and resolution ability with experience in performing data analysis.
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Excellent organization skills; must be able to manage tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Comprehensive experience with Microsoft office suite of products, Google Applications, and other software associated with assigned work
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a customer support role, preferably in a manufacturing or sales environment
