Position Description

Monitors the distribution and management of the weekly and monthly production schedules for operations. Coordinates the planning, scheduling, material control and logistics for the timely production of company products. Manages inventory levels and balances logistic cost and service level to customer

Job Responsibilities

  1. Establishes and manages daily, weekly, and monthly production scheduling process for the site and adjusts schedules accordingly to deliver site goals and objectives
  2. Provides data for key metrics to management to provide optimal efficiency to meet the needs of internal and external customers
  3. Communicates with management and operation to determine priorities when schedule adjustments and delays occur.
  4. Investigates scope of requests and determines scheduling status and/or feasibility
  5. Monitors material usage and inventory turns and levels in an effort to manage inventory.
  6. Controls logistic costs by optimizing logistic routes and monitoring forecasts.
  7. Monitors and improves production and logistic lead times to achieve on time delivery.
  8. Performs some lead responsibilities which may include: training, assigning and/or reviewing work, providing guidance and overseeing work flow of unit
  9. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Advanced training and/or experience with the site production scheduling process, Supply Chain principles, and site wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control system
  • Highly skilled with data analysis in database management and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Self directed, self-disciplined and highly organized with the ability to make timely and effective decisions
  • Able to communicate in English--writing and speaking
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Production control supervisor
  • Minimum of four years of experience in materials/logistic management or related field preferred
