Position Description

Leads cross-functional teams including external suppliers to minimize supply chain risk and cost reduction programs.  De-risk supply base by driving creative solutions to temporary and permanent supply chain problems.  Manages all internal communications and escalations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Leads cross-functional teams including external suppliers to minimize supply chain risk and cost reduction programs.

  2. Leads the identification of supplier capacity concerns and drives resolution by increasing the incumbent supplier’s capacity or dual sourcing.

  3. Develops and monitors project schedules and ensures projects meet deadlines 

  4. Communicates with internal customers regarding program progress 

  5. Ensures project targets and goals are clearly defined and delivered on time and on budget

  6.  
  7. Highlights areas needing resolution and drives solutions

  8. Evaluates current processes and systems for cost reduction and improvement and determines project priorities

  9. Prepares and presents information and presentations for management project review meetings

  10. Researches and implements best practices for program management

  11. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Understanding of financial principles

  • Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems

  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers on cost and timing

  • Ability to prepare and present complex technical information

  • Working understanding financial principle including Return On Investment concepts

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to form, work with and lead a team of diverse individuals in a variety of fields

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of related experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

May require travel of a planned or urgent nature, both international and domestic
