Senior Manager Supply Chain - Planning

Position Description

Develops and deploys the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) process in the assigned business(es) to optimize Sales, Production and Inventory. Partners with adjacent teams to identify potential capacity constraints and identify solutions across multiple regions and product lines. Develops and leads training to extend the SIOP process across international regions, all production facilities and new acquisitions.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Partners with leaders across functions to develop and lead the SIOP processes monthly. Leads the development and management of metrics, charts and other reports for the monthly SIOP reviews.
  2. Consolidates production forecasts and overlays demand forecasts and production capacities to build a robust and flexible production plan to ensure an optimal balance of working capital performance with product availability.
  3. Helps to develop and deploy an inventory strategy for our global warehousing operations; ensures an optimized balance of best in class service levels with a flexible and high turn inventory position to maximize free cash flow.
  4. Provides direction and leadership to cross-functional teams to align on the global supply plan.
  5. Develops and implements plans to minimize excess and obsolete (E & O) inventory.
  6. Partners with IT and business process and system experts to develop short and long term strategies to drive continuous improvement of the planning systems
  7. Directs the work of groups of employees (leads through managers) by providing oversight, mentoring, and training.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Working knowledge and experience of SIOP processes

  • Ten years progressive experience in Planning or Master Production Scheduling with experience in Sourcing, Purchasing and Logistics

  • Five years of direct management experience in a consumer goods or manufacturing company, preferred

  • Working knowledge and experience with resource planning systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics) and Word, Excel , Powerpoint, preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 30%
