Our Human Resources Shared Services team is hiring a Senior Compensation Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Shared Services, this role supports our global organization as the compensation subject matter expert. The position works out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa with the opportunity to work in a hybrid model.
Position Description
Leads the day-to-day administration of the company’s compensation programs. Performs job evaluations, equity studies and interfaces with Leadership throughout the business regarding global leveling, market pricing and Job Profile Governance. Supports the administration of hourly, salaried and sales incentive plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Interfaces with the Human Resources Leadership Team regarding all Job Profile Governance
- Conducts position evaluation and assignment of pay ranges in alignment with the overall compensation program and market competitiveness
- Collaborates with HR, Finance, and Payroll on the calculation of annual incentive plan and sales incentive plan payouts
- Assists in ensuring compensation programs, plans, and policies are compliant with government regulations, internal financial processes, and legal requirements
- Negotiates, manages, and maintains third party relationships to support business requirements; including reviewing and making recommendations for purchasing compensation salary surveys and related systems
- Leads the analysis of compensation trends to develop annual merit budget recommendations and to ensure the competitive position of the Company’s ability to attract and retain talent
- Collaborates with the HRIS team to lead the year-end compensation planning process. Conducts analysis and develops reports summarizing the results of year-end process activity
- Assists in the delivery of communication on compensation related topics to HR, Managers, and Employees as needed
- Trains and partners with HR and Managers on job profile writing, basic compensation knowledge, and coaching/guiding the business based on the Company's compensation philosophy
- Guides and partners with regional HR and Operations to make educated compensation decisions around annual increases, shift premiums, bonuses, and step progression structure
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to use those skills to define and solve complex problems quickly
- Excellent knowledge of relevant U.S. laws and regulations related to compensation programs (i.e. FLSA, Equal Pay Act, Title VII, etc.) and some exposure to Int’l rules and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to team with other departments and subject matter experts to deliver collaborative and successful outcomes on complicated issues
- Clear, concise, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to influence at various levels
- Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities while meeting agreed upon deadlines
- Solid business orientation and the ability to understand business issues and their interrelationship with compensation
- Solid computer skills as well as online compensation administration tools, market survey online databases, and HR systems and report-writing required
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience Requirements
- At least five years of experience in compensation analysis
- Large global and/or manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous experience administering international compensation programs preferred
- Experience with sales incentives and/or commission plans preferred
