Position Description
Develops and executes the product management strategy for a product category in existing and new regions. Develops and executes a rolling three year product plan and portfolio strategy including new product introductions, product lifecycle management and profitability. Defines product and technology roadmaps by evaluating and analyzing key customer needs, market trends and competitive intelligence. Manages technical communication and coordination between all business functions.
Job Responsibilities

Executes and manages product line strategy, as well as the justification and prioritization of new product development initiatives for assigned products

Manages product development programs within the New Product Development (NPD) Process

Collaborates to develop 3 year product plans and update technology roadmaps for innovation planning 5+ years out

Manages capital budgets and drives resource planning and allocation decisions based on product line priorities

Coordinates with marketing to define the Voice of Customer (VoC) and go-to-market strategy for new products or product changes

Provides product knowledge for sales calls, sales literature/documentation and trade shows

Develops and delivers product and business strategy presentations

Maintains and reports out on product line metrics

Lead and participates in cost reduction and profit improvement efforts

May perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget

Education
Experience Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in product management, new product development, manufacturing, marketing or related field.
- Three years experience with global markets preferred
