Position Description

 

Iconic brand with headquarters located in the Milwaukee area looking for an highly-detailed, self-starter to manage the development and implementation of creative, forward-thinking marketing programs for residential products sold through retail, online and dealer channels.  This person will plan, budget, coordinate and develop marketing programs in the outdoor power equipment space while working closely with retailers, manufacturers and an in-house and remote sales team.   

Job Responsibilities

 

  1.  Partner with Marketing Leadership to develop customer-centric plans that are developed with key metrics in mind.   

  2. Understand key customer needs through regular customer visits and ongoing communication.

  3. Work closely with retailers to develop in-store and online merchandising programs

  4. Support the development and launch of new products and services

  5. Drive Voice of Customer and Research activities--including analysis--of current and future new product users

  6. Maintain and updates market intelligence databases on pricing, market shares, volumes, and competitors

  7. Lead the  development of marketing communications initiatives

  8. Work cross-functionally with sales, product development, market insights to drive products and programs that support Annual Operating Plan goals.

  9. Attend tradeshows and sales and customer events as needed

  10.  Perform other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business marketing practices.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage several assignments simultaneously and to coordinate with multiple departments at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be resourceful and team focused, have strong problem solving skills, a strong drive for efficiency and quality and be a proven self-starter able to work independently.
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years experience in marketing industry or related experience
  • Experience in developing retail marketing programs
  • Experience in marketing of outdoor power equipment preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

May require travel of a planned or urgent nature, both international and domestic
