Position Description

Develops and continually improves the IT compliance, risk, governance and finance programs.  Aligns programs with business requirements that follow standard frameworks, continually add business value and that ensure risks are managed through service partners.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates internal IT resources and external service partners to remediate compliance control deficiencies
  2. Identifies gaps and provides resolutions between the desired level of compliance and the current level of maturity
  3. Implements IT security and compliance policies and controls to meet the desired level of compliance maturity reflected in a given standard or framework.  Manages the progress of the design and assessment of IT controls for all programs and projects and ensures controls are in place once the services are operational
  4. Develops metrics to monitor and report effectiveness of IT controls and any remediation efforts
  5. Performs IT policy and procedure reviews against regulatory compliance requirements
  6. Maintains IT controls universe with alignment from IT and Internal Audit, utilizing regulatory control and industry framework
  7. Provides IT controls awareness education for all necessary frameworks.  Provides regular status and service level reports to all levels of management including the board of directors.
  8. In partnership with IT Leadership and accounting manages IT’s finances
  9. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; selecting and managing service providers; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA, performance management, department budget; or manages an extensive network of external vendors
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

  • Experience in managing in a large international complex environment that includes multiple partnerships, cloud service providers, and rapidly changing technologies
  • Experience in audit and in managing finances for an IT department

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum seven years experience in at least one of the following areas: project/program management for Information Technology, IT controls and information security, risk management governance and finance. Experience in multiple areas preferred.
  • Five years experience managing a department within a large IT function, preferably with both direct staff and outsourced/third-party vendors
  • Minimum three years management experience, preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 25%
