As a Manager, Global Security Operations your goal is to lead the 24/7/365 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)—the central hub for real-time threat monitoring, intelligence, and incident response across Briggs & Stratton’s global footprint. This role delivers strategic and operational oversight for global security operations, enterprise risk intelligence, critical incident response, and formal investigations. This position manages a team of Security Operations Analysts and is responsible for talent development, workflow optimization, and proactive alignment with global security priorities. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on, high-accountability leadership approach and thrives in fast-paced, complex environments.

 

You will do this by:

  • Executing the global operations security strategy to achieve security risk management goals including: asset protection, physical access control systems, video surveillance, operational risk, and regulatory compliance
  • Contributing to the strategic objectives of the Global Security team and overseeing operations of security-related projects from conception through implementation
  • Overseeing incident response planning/crisis management and facilitating the investigation of security breaches; assisting with legal and HR in disciplinary matters; ensuring timely processing of incident reports and evaluation of reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation; ensuring company compliance with applicable laws and regulations; preparing/submitting reports and participating in audits for applicable vendors or agencies as required
  • Being responsible for the organization’s operational security roadmap, ensuring that security infrastructure investments are adequate in supporting Company objectives
  • Monitoring global events and assessing operational impacts to operations personnel, facilities, and critical assets
  • Positioning the GSOC as a strategic partner for enterprise intelligence, incident response, and investigations
  • Overseeing real-time threat monitoring, emergency communications, and escalation protocols
  • Ensuring timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and communication of security incidents and risks
  • Supporting operations security awareness programs through training, briefings, and knowledge sharing
  • Leading formal investigations of internal operations security breaches, losses, or incidents, ensuring actionable reporting and follow-up
  • Aligning GSOC practices with B&S emergency management, business continuity, and crisis response frameworks
  • Hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluating security personnel to maintain a high-performing, mission-aligned team
  • Leading the global strategy, implementation, and lifecycle management of all physical security systems and infrastructure
  • Maintaining and enforcing enterprise physical security standards, design guidelines, and integrator playbooks
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations and maintenance of security technology, ensuring system integrity, uptime, and compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence or related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • At minimum five, with eight or more preferred, years of progressive experience in corporate security, GSOC, or related operations
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CPP, PSP, or GSOC Leadership Certificate are highly preferred
  • Experience with real-time intelligence platforms, incident management systems, and security technologies (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, etc)
  • Background in global security operations supporting diverse geographies and risk profiles
  • Demonstrated expertise in threat and risk assessments, incident triage, and investigative protocols
  • Experience designing team structures, shift coverage, and workflows for 24/7 operations
  • Proficiency in emergency preparedness and crisis management principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and executive briefings
  • Effective at building trusted relationships across business units, leadership, and external partners
  • Strong project management, mentoring, and team development skills
