Position Description

Manages the demand planning process, demand reporting, statistical modeling and analysis of demand processes.  Develops the demand plan and supports the strategic plan for the global demand process and business planning tools/processes that provide continuous improvements to the proficiencies of demand planning team.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops a demand plan through global demand signals to meet customer expectations by using the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
  2. Coordinates within IBP process to align with Product Management Roadmap (PMR) and supply plans
  3. Leads forecasting and develops statistical models for long term (24 month) forecasts
  4. Establishes and manages service level objectives, inventory turns and ensure forecast accuracy
  5. Interacts with customers to improve service levels; supports the organization in meeting supply chain goals
  6. Develops, implements and publishes metrics to drive the business process and support continuous improvement
  7. Develops and manages an effective Sales & Operations Planning/IBP process driven off of sales forecasting, production planning and inventory goals
  8. Provides insight on best practices and develops strategic goals for the demand planning team
  9. May perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
  10. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of forecasting, demand and supply chain management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complicated sales reports, market studies and industry reports into successful fulfillment strategies
  • Ability to work with multiple business functions and find balance in conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability forming and leading cross-functional project teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups of people
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP, Excel; logility or other demand planning software
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in demand scheduling, sales or logistics, or related field
