Position Description
Aligns human resources with business objectives in designated business units, locations and/or functional areas. Partners with location and business unit management on human resources-related issues while acting as a champion for employees and a change agent.
Job Responsibilities
- Implements the human resources strategy of assigned businesses and/or locations by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
- Supports management in assigned locations and/or business units in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with business strategy
- Ensures leadership and coaching culture is cascaded through the supported groups
- Drives the people processes (performance, development, and career) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
- Provides advice and coaching to leaders, managers and employees as appropriate
- Manages specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan as well as participating in functional and cross-functional initiatives
- May participate in development of HR long-range plan and annual operating plan
- Collaborates within Human Resources to develop, document and recommend continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of principles & practices of HR, including HR regulations and compliance
- Experience in building business plan and/or HR strategy development
- Skilled in employee relations with demonstrated ability to partner and influence at all levels in the business and to be viewed as a credible, valuable source of information and integral part of management team
- Experience building and/or delivering change management and organizational development strategies
- Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and oversee project or team with multiple assignments and to meet set deadlines; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees
- Solid computer skills
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Experience Requirements
- Minimum seven years related professional, progressive experience in human resources, manufacturing preferred, with a minimum three years management experience
