Position Description

<span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The ideal candidate is a production artist with marketing and project management experience. This position focuses primarily on the management, preparation, and routing of packaging artwork, while adhering to brand guidelines/standards. Secondary to this role is the management and preparation of other marketing collateral such as brochures, POP, digital content, etc. This role requires high attention to detail and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). The candidate must be process-oriented and will manage artwork workflow through internal PLM (product lifecycle management) system.

Job Responsibilities
  1. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing, including <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">product packaging/labeling, sales/marketing brochures, catalogs, advertising, trade show materials, and more
    1. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Read and interpret packaging component specification drawings and die lines
    2. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Understand and apply regulatory requirements on product packaging
    3. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Upload, route, and manage packaging/labeling through PLM system
  2. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready for several types of printing and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
  3. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
  4. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners
  5. <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Follow creative briefs, attend meetings, traffic projects and coordinate with internal employees and external agencies to follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
Job Skills Requirements
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Creative artistic sensibility in design, page layout, illustration and photography 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Intermediate skill in graphic design software 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with firm deadlines and high attention to detail 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse group of people in a team environment 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Ability to review the quality of a project by following the policies set forth within the corporation
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">General knowledge of web design 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location 
Education
Associates Degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience in desktop publishing, graphic design, preferably in a graphic services environment
