Position Description

Develops and optimizes supply chain business processes. Partners with Supply Chain leadership to set standards and measure the performance of supply chain information, technologies and applications to enhance  customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory returns, lead times, and working capital. Serves as the primary point of contact for data interfaces and integration of supply chain technologies with the SAP ERP system.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops strategic and long-term planning for supply chain business process improvements and information technologies to include technical comprehensive roadmaps and governance models for business segments globally.

  2. Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities, evaluates new and existing tools/platforms, effectively articulates the business case for investments, and champions the implementation of industry best performance practices. 

  3. Leads global assessment of all supply chain business processes and enabling technology,while focusing on identification of current gaps and anticipating and fulfilling future business and customer needs.

  4. Ensures consistency and standardization across business segment’s supply chains to include supply chain systems, procedures, process and reporting metrics. 

  5. Establishes and enforces policies and procedures for supply chain operation processes to ensure data maintenance, change management and master data integrity are in compliance with business standards and regulatory requirements.

  6. Interacts regularly with executives and/ IT vendors, as well as supports key stakeholders in the scoping of projects and driving the appropriate ownership for ongoing success of project implementations.

  7. Solves business issues by developing courses of action and using effective influencing skills to drive decisions and actions.

  8. Builds and fosters a culture of “planning excellence” and accountability by identifying and implementing supply chain initiatives to improve efficiencies, cost, waste reduction and other lean principles.

  9. Participates in the Business segment(s) acquisition due diligence process, as required.

  10. Directs the work of groups of employees (leads through managers and other professionals).

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning and logistics

  • Five years of direct management experience in a consumer goods or manufacturing company

  • Working knowledge and experience with resource planning systems, SAP experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of Low Cost Country Sourcing, International Logistics, Contract Manufacturing, Total Landed Cost and Total Cost of Ownership, INCOTERMS and trade compliance. Experience working in China, preferred.

  • Experience implementing and managing Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Working knowledge of forecasting tools and best practices

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 30%
