Our team is adding a Director, Product Management focused on our aftermarket business. The strategic position will help us define the aftermarket business for the future. An analytical/results driven position with significant collaboration throughout the business, the role is based out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa.
Position Description
Leads the creation and implementation of a three-year strategic plan for multiple product categories of new or existing complex aftermarket product portfolios. Leads portfolio growth and profitability by evaluating and analyzing key customer needs and trends. Leads all aspects of portfolio management including new product initiatives, pricing, cost reductions and channel management by working collaboratively with stakeholders. Defines category roadmaps by evaluating and analyzing key customer needs, market trends and competitive intelligence.
Areas of Focus:
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and SIOP leader to ensure we can drive process improvement and alignment to meet customer delivery needs.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure market data, competitive intelligence is developed to inform the business case for new products, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure promotional collateral is created to promote the sales of aftermarket products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Defines, influences, and communicates a strategic product roadmap to internal team, customers and partners by evaluating and analyzing key customer/end-user needs and product/market trends.
- Collaborates with marketing to define the Voice of Customer (VoC) and go-to-market strategy to meet business objectives (eg: develops the Business Case).
- Creates, implements and maintains operational, reporting and performance metrics including the Annual Operating Plan in addition to reporting on portfolio metrics in alignment with the Product Management Review (PMR) process.
- Collaborates with sales team through participation in key customer planning & meetings, channel initiatives, and product training.
- Identifies and leads evaluation of new business opportunities including new product categories, markets, regions, channels and/or acquisitions.
- Responsible for pricing strategy, governance, and mechanics for the global channel. Including owning the re-defining a competitive margin structure for the channel.
- Partners with Operations and Supply Chain to improve product cost and quality.
- Identifies, develops and implements process improvements to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- MBA preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of ten years product management and/or related experience
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software
- ERP experience, SAP preferred
- Simon-Kutcher pricing model knowledge
- Ability to travel 10%
