As a Director Finance your goal is to serve as a finance/accounting leader and strategic business partner for the Power business unit. You’ll plan, direct and oversee coordination and preparation of financial analysis and provide management with information and insights vital to the decision-making process.

 

You will do this by:

  • Participating in strategic long range planning and leading the financial planning process for the business unit including proactively recommending actions to help achieve business results
  • Providing strategic financial leadership and support on matters affecting the Power business unit
  • Facilitating the forecasting process, the annual budgeting process, and inventory analysis to drive business improvements and reporting accuracy through collaboration with the business, corporate finance, and CFO
  • Collaborating with business unit sales leader and SIOP leader to develop commercial and inventory strategies to achieve the strategic objectives, including management of working capital
  • Leading and directing the team’s work to provide insights on business performance in relation to strategies and goals; routinely analyzes and reports performance utilizing trend analyses and data analytics 
  • Leading business analyses to advise the business and identify opportunities to drive business improvements
  • Leading monthly financial analysis of the business unit’s results, ensuring coordination with local teams
  • Collaborating with the Corporate FP&A team to ensure alignment with company-wide standards for reporting & analytics
  • Ensuring compliance with company accounting and financial policies; enabling technology to manage risk and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and systems; maintaining a strong environment of internal controls
  • Performing full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of related accounting/finance experience 
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • Prior leadership and management experience in a large, complex, global company
  • Prior experience in financial roles in a manufacturing company
  • Prior experience with private-equity owned companies

  • Strong people and business leadership skills with proven track record to influence key stakeholders, provide insightful financial analysis, share expertise and mentor others
  • Action oriented, having the ability to deliver results and hold others accountable
  • Strong  presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills for working with a diverse group of people
  • Strong understanding of the impact of plant performance on the financials, both from an accounting and business perspective
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Strong planning skills, with the ability to design, execute and communicate plans for process improvement
  • Ability to forecast and develop budgets
  • Strong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems
  • Ability to make sound financial judgements regarding investments, returns, and overall financial impacts
