Our Finance Team is hiring a Corporate Tax Analyst to join the team! The role works out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa with the opportunity to be remote up to two days per week. This is an opportunity to play an integral role in the organization as you do focused work in sales and use tax and others areas as needed.
Position Description
Supports domestic and international tax compliance, tax provision and audit related activity including federal and state corporate income, sales and use, and property taxes.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares consolidated Federal tax return which includes preparation of separate company Federal returns.
- Supports the preparation of state income, sales and use, and property tax returns and filings.
- Performs preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions
- Provides support on various tax audits to include creating responses to tax authorities, and possibly interface with book/tax differences for the quarterly and annual tax provisions.
- Conducts various tax planning projects to support the implementation of strategies that maximize savings on a defensible basis, and participating in the review of proposed business. transactions to properly advise management of tax implications.
- Analyzes financial statement reporting to include trial balance review, R&D credit, state apportionment and foreign E&P adjustments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and other related accounting software
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse group of people
- Familiarity with financial analysis and/or cost accounting
- Ability to prioritize and work through competing deadlines
- Attention to detail; strong accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of related accounting/finance experience
- Experience with Vertax and/or SAP preferred
