Position Description

As a Recruiter, you will perform full lifecycle recruitment for technical, administrative and management positions throughout the Company.  This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and preboarding. Serving a talent consultant to the assigned business unit, you will develop recruiting strategies, in strong partnership with the business and HR peers, to identify and attract talent to the organization in an effort to hire the most qualified candidates. As a brand ambassador for the Company, you will effectively communicate to prospective hires the compelling reasons Briggs & Stratton is an employer of choice while delivering a positive candidate experience.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Executes recruiting processes and strategies to source talent utilizing multiple channels (internet sourcing, niche sites, networking, cold calling, etc.) and researches and applies current on industry trends, competitors, recruitment best practices and marketing strategies.
  2. Coordinates and administers full life cycle recruiting for complex technical, administrative and management positions throughout the Company, including but not limited to: sourcing, screening, qualifying and interviewing.  Makes recommendations to hiring manager regarding candidates for further consideration
  3. Promotes the Briggs & Stratton employment value proposition
  4. Effectively utilizes marketing tools/systems to build and nurture candidate talent pipelines
  5. Participates in recruitment programs including on-campus recruitment, job fairs/tradeshows, networking events, social networking, and etc. as needed
  6. Establishes strong partnerships with internal customers including but not limited to:  Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, and HR Generalists to develop recruiting plans, and coordinates the total recruiting project ensuring timely action, cost effective approaches and professional and positive interactions with stakeholders
  7. Interfaces with candidates to ensure they are evaluated appropriately and treated in a consistent, positive and professional manner that delivers a positive candidate experience

Job Skills Requirements

  • Ability to set aggressive targets and meet them while balancing both business and candidate needs
  • Demonstrated ability to execute a recruiting strategy
  • Proactively build a pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Proven experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and email marketing/CRM tools  
  • Strong working knowledge of social media and web-recruiting techniques to drive talent pipelines
  • Strong written, verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of three years recruiting experience, specifically in a high volume corporate recruiting environment. 5+ years preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting for technical, corporate, and administrative roles preferred
