Channel Marketing Manager

Position Description

Manages the plan, budget, development, and implementation of marketing programs for the dealer and distribution channels within the Turf & Consumer Products Group. Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, marketing communications, and business development to achieve the goals of the organization. Grow brand awareness, brand affinity, and sales through the strategic plans executed.


Plan, budget and execute tradeshows and trade association events to further our brand presence.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Partners with marketing and sales leadership to create programs that drive the sale of Turf and Consumer products not only to the dealer and distributor customer base but also sell-through to the end consumer
  2. Creates and manages programs to increase sales including the use of promotions and the development of sales tools and programs.  Measures effectiveness of programs by developing and analyzing KPI metrics. 
  3. Collaborates with training, product management, and brand managers to develop and launch new products and new product lines
  4. Assists with achieving annual sell-thru objectives for assigned channels 
  5. Works directly with leadership to create programs that support the sales and NPD plans including selling tools, co-op, dealer advisory councils, etc
  6. Maintains and updates market intelligence databases on pricing, market shares, volumes, and competitors
  7. Collaborates with brand managers and marketing communications teams to execute creative and merchandising that meets our brand guidelines
  8. Plans, budgets, and executes on key trade shows and trade association meetings
  9. Manages outside agency relationships for key projects
  10. Performs the full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
  11. Performs other duties as assigned
     

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business marketing practices.
  • Experience in tradeshow/event management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage several assignments simultaneously and to coordinate with multiple departments at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be resourceful and team-focused, have strong problem-solving skills, a strong initiative for efficiency and quality, and be a proven self-starter able to work independently.
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location
     

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years experience in marketing industry or related experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Moderate travel
