The position is based out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa with the opportunity to be remote two days per week.

Position Description

The Business Development Executive is responsible for leading sales efforts in the Rental Channel in North America to expand our customer base through generating new business and share of wallet growth while ensuring that sales targets within the Rental and Commercial Retail Channel are met or exceeded. The Business Development Representative will work closely with internal and external customers as an integral part of our aggressive growth plans in North America with a heavy focus on electrification power solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct lead generation activities through cold calling, networking and referrals.
  • Utilizes experience in multi-decision making/long sales cycle environments to maintain a long term balanced sales funnel, and executes all steps of the sales process from target to close to continually secure new business. 
  • Meet with customers and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities in an effort to understand their business needs, identify scope, submit a proposal, finalize the contract and win the business. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and the customer to implement the customer's solution, including participation in kick-off. 
  • Maintaining and growing a client account base.
  • Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes. 
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction maintaining close contact with all customers (internally and externally) – including follow up on concerns or other issues. 
  • Negotiate contracts and work closely with internal legal counsel to execute. 
  • Develop, execute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. 
  • Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. 
  • Play an expert role in the Rental Channel and inform the business on a regular basis on latest trends within the channel. 
  • Build your base of electrification technology product knowledge to be the category expert to your rental channel customers and the rental channel expert to the organization keeping the business informed on the latest trends in the rental channel.

  • Experience in a startup environment preferred
  • Channel Marketing experience preferred
  • PC competency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel program and Google Suite

  • Strong customer service focus 
  • Ability to deal with rejection 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships 
  • Ability to travel independently up to 25% to tradeshows and customer visits


Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • At least three years, with five or more preferred, sales and business development experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
