Accounts Receivable Specialist Senior

Position Description

Ensures completion of Accounts Receivable maintenance activities such as clearings/offsets, manual customer refunds, deduction management and department reporting as assigned. Monitors, mainitains, and supports continuous improvement initiatives for the overall credit teams.  Assists management with training, mentoring, and documentation responsibility for all department support functions.

Job Responsibilities

 

1. Executes, monitors, and provides training for all functions related to the application of customer payment.

2. Research, analyze and resolve payment or cash applications, including discrepancies and escalated issues.

3. Completes and serves as team lead for daily lockbox posting, lockbox re-work as well as manual application of wire  transfers, ACH and other forms of payment.

4. Identifies customer deductions and performs root cause analysis.  Partners with sales and customers as needed to resolve assigned business units.

5. Performs customer account maintenance as requested including Accounts Receivable  clearings/offsets, customer refund requests and processing of debit/credit/warranty/service returns documents as needed for assigned business units.

6. Ensures proper new account set up and customer master data including the maintenance of change requests for assigned business units globally

7. Supports the Credit, Accounts Receivable and Treasury teams by providing reporting as required.

8. Ensures full compliance with the Global Credit Policy, other Finance/Corporate policies and  internal controls.

9. Assists manager to develop and maintain updated training documentation for support staff functions.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

Minimum of three years of related experience
