Engineering Intern - 25 hours per week

Position Description

Uses basic technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment. Performs duties associated with the setup of a variety of production equipment to produce quality product.

Job Responsibilities

•Use AutoCAD to draw schematics.

•Work with drawings on minor machine changes and HMI (Human Machining Interface).

•Support document control by updating library manuals and electrical and mechanical drawings .

•Perform time studies.

•Quote materials and spare parts and entering the MROs.

•Other duties as needed to support the department.

Job Skills Requirements

•Mechanically inclined.

•Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  AutoCAD or related drafting experience a plus.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Able to work with cross-functional teams and promote professionalism.

•Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university majoring in EE, ME, or equivalent degree.

Education

High School diploma

Physical & Environmental Requirements

May be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights. (Frequently 5 – 25 pounds), (Occasionally 25 – 75 pounds), (Rarely greater than 75 pounds)
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to use power/vibrating tools over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
