What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the plant and grounds.

Automation & Robotics: Troubleshoot and program automated machinery using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and manage robotics systems.

Fabrication & Precision Work: Perform machine shop fabrication and bench operations to modify, repair, or alter tools, fixtures, gauges, and safety guarding.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Train incoming team members, assign and direct daily tasks, help resolve workplace issues, and provide feedback to supervisors on team performance.

Collaborative Problem-Solving: Partner closely with engineers and outside vendors to quickly and cost-effectively resolve complex process or equipment bottlenecks.

Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine inspections and specialized preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.

Education & Experience

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical maintenance experience utilizing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Language: Fluency in English (and the primary language used at this facility location).
Physical & Environmental Demands
To thrive in this industrial environment over an 8 to 12-hour shift, you should be comfortable with the following:

Mobility: Constantly standing, walking, and performing frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, or reaching.

Strength: Safely lifting and carrying heavy parts, engines, or materials as needed (specific weight limits provided by the supervisor).

Position Description
Uses advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair all plant equipment, building and grounds. Performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, electrical systems, hydraulics systems for a variety of equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment using programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Performs various duties relating to automation and robotics, machine shop fabrication, preventative maintenance using specialized equipment and various machining or bench operations to alter and repair tools, fixtures, gauges, and guarding.
- Works closely with engineers and outside vendors to resolve complex process or equipment issues in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
