Position Description

Adequately supplies all resources necessary to support the supply of products and services to meet customer needs in accordance with the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process calendar. Validates balancing of supply with demand over the short and long-term planning horizon.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Effectively plans the resources required to meet anticipated demand

  2. Develops and prepares monthly supply plans and appropriate metric analyses for approval and review in the monthly supply review (future IBP) process meetings

  3. Analyzes business unit inventory levels and works with various departments to ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained while meeting company working capital targets

  4. Actively participates in new product development process to minimize inventory obsolescence

  5. Ensures that issues during the monthly supply cycle are cross functionally reviewed, resolved or escalated with recommendations and alternatives for closure

  6. Identifies, develops and implements process improvement plans to optimize the supply management process to meet company objectives

  7. Presents data, conducts analysis and facilitates dialog across key stakeholder groups to deliver the supply plan to meet the unconstrained demand plan

  8. Establishes and ensures that there is an active and effective process in all plants and businesses for maintaining accuracy of all planning parameters

  9. Develops, updates and maintains all master planning policies, procedures and work instructions to meet current requirements and to deliver target business results

  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated  ability to make presentations in front of small to medium size groups

  • Ability to work with multiple business functions and find balance in conflicting priorities

  • Advanced analytical and statistical abilities including concepts such as standard deviation, forecast error, bias, safety stock calculations and mean average percent error (MAPE)

  • Expert computer skills with Microsoft office suite of products, Google Applications, and other software associated with assigned work

  • Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Related field or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of  five years planning, production planning, forecasting and supply chain analytics

  • Minimum of five years working in planning tools and software
