Supervisor Maintenance

Position Description

Supervises and coordinates the activities of team members with regard to construction, modification and maintenance of equipment, building and grounds.

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinates the effective utilization of team member skills for the maintenance of plant equipment, buildings and grounds.
2. Develops, trains and motivates team members to acquire maximum efficiency, productivity, cooperation and morale.
3. Implements and monitors preventive maintenance programs.
4. Reviews operational schedules and coordinates maintenance activities.
5. Supervises the off-hour emergency response to repair equipment and stabilize damages.
6. Maintains awareness of plant maintenance policies and procedures, and ensures proper adherence by team members.
7. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

• Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes related to machinery, carpentry, electrical, etc.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and maintenance problems
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Experience Requirements

• Minimum five years industrial maintenance experience in assembly or machining operations
