Senior Manager Quality

Position Description

Develop and deploy the Quality and Warranty teams and programs. Devise and implement strategies for improving quality systems for assigned businesses. Develops metrics, tools, and training to ensure quality and lean best practices are utilized to help create a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Creates, analyzes, and publishes critical quality and warranty metrics to drive awareness to the business and prioritization of resources to ensure best in class product performance and business profitability.

  2. Governs and manages the annual recertification processes for all quality related matters to include but not limited to annual ISO recertifications.

  3. Establishes and optimizes proper governance to ensure speed, consistency, cost, and control over processes.

  4. Drives process and product improvements to reduce internal defects and warranty.

  5. Develops and leads system and process improvement initiatives to improve quality department efficiencies and to meet changing business requirements to align with company objectives.

  6. Lead cross-functional working groups to improve technical processes by taking an end-to-end perspective with a focus on improved quality, operational excellence, and increased customer satisfaction.

  7. Leads and/or participates in customer feedback gathering and focuses to improve customer satisfaction to make sure customer requirements are met in all aspects of the business.

  8. Interacts regularly with leadership internally and/or at major customers.

  9. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; leads through managers and professionals; development and implementation of processes, practices and systems in assigned areas of responsibility; and budgeting for assigned areas.

  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

  • Ability to develop information/insight strategies to satisfy internal/external customer needs

  • Strong technical knowledge with systems, methodologies, and analysis tools

  • Demonstrated experience with driving quality improvements in complex manufacturing environments

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external customers

  • Advanced writing and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment and make critical decisions

  • Ability to forecast and develop budgets

  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Ten plus years of related professional experience preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing systems environment

  • Five years of leadership and management experience in a large complex organization

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or international travel as required up to 40%
