Group Lead Fabrication-Weld

Pay Rate

• For this position, the expected hourly wage is $28.00 per hour USD commensurate with experience. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Position Description

Oversees the fabrication/welding of the assigned product lines and delegates the daily work assignments. May perform production work as needed.

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversees the fabrication/welding of products, ensuring the highest level of quality at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards.  Responsible for performing quality checks, process audits, and component materials accuracy.
2. Organizes space, equipment and personnel work assignments for successful execution of the production schedule, making adjustments as necessary.
3. Resolves routine department equipment and personnel problems (i.e. attendance, performance & safety) while reporting non-routine problems to supervisor.
4. Operates, sets-up, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs issues with a variety of production equipment
5. Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use hand tools, etc.
• Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Experience Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
