Position Description
Coordinates the movement of purchased and manufactured materials through the finishing department to meet the assembly production schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates and prioritizes work activities of assigned Finish Laborers to ensure correct parts are painted and packaged for Assembly.
- Coordinates flow of materials from weld and off site locations as well as shortage and rework items to ensure correct quantities are sent to assigned assembly line locations.
- Maintains accurate inventory records; corrects variances from scheduled cycle counts.
- Ensures established safe operating procedures are routinely practiced by all Finish Laborers.
- Implements visual inventory controls such as but not limited to: signage, containers, push carts, etc. and material handling equipment for continuous improvement opportunities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2 year experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory control environment
