Position Description


Manages the demand planning process, demand reporting, statistical modeling and analysis of demand processes.  Uses sales history and demand planning software to generate statistical models that predict future demand, and makes recommendations to management for growing sales and maximizing overall profitability. Partners with stakeholders to identify potential capacity constraints and identify solutions.

Job Responsibilities


  1. Develops a demand plan at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons to meet customer expectations by using the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process

2.      Partners with sales leaders, product planning teams, and Finance to develop and implement comprehensive strategies, systems, metrics, and action plans to grow and scale the business

3.      Identifies gaps to the Annual Operating Plan and impacts of internal change, competitor dynamics and other external factors that may impact demand

4.      Reviews historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepares forecast data, develops statistical forecast models and evaluates forecast results

5.      Analyzes impacts of price/volume/product mix, budget/actual variances, and profitability by customer, product line, and geography

6.      Consolidates sales forecasts and overlays demand stocking strategies to ensure an optimal balance of working capital performance with product availability

7.      Analyzes processes and partners with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to streamline and measure results

8.      Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, and the ability to translate data into actionable objectives

  • Solid working knowledge of sales planning tools, experience with Microsoft office and data management tools as required by position

  • Advanced interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication styles that allow interaction at all levels of the corporation and customer base

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


Bachelor's Degree in Related field or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience in demand planning, sales or logistics, or related field
