Intern - Operations

As an Intern - Operations your goal is to assist in process improvements and completing time trials in our production facility in Menomonee Falls.

• Timeline: Starting immediate - has potential to go beyond fall semester into future semesters and summer
• Hours per week: 15-20 hours per week during school year; 40 hours per week during summer
• Pay: Dependent upon school year/level 16.50 - 18.50/hr

You will do this by:

• Perform time trials to determine output for each work center 
• Determine most efficient work center for specific materials to confirm a preferred and backup station
• Update Master Data in SAP to ensure materials are assigned to the correct work center to achieve 100% capacity
• Assist in helping to convert capacity and material forecasts into hours to analyze the employee resources needed to meet demand

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelors or Associates degree in specified function (Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field)
• Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience in/exposure to Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Supply Chain/Operations

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Good working knowledge of computer software
• A long-term interest in supply chain and operations
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Possess poise and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analysis skills
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
