Position Description
Performs a variety of quality control tests and inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Records statistical data, analyzes data and communicates test results. Analyzes results and makes recommendations to engineering teams for modifications or changes.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs various engineering tests using multiple measurement devices and test equipment; develops new test set-ups and/or test methods
- Analyzes, interprets and professionally communicates test results; makes recommendations to engineering teams for modifications and changes
- Supports production areas in troubleshooting problems related to the engine or product components and assembly; recommends improvement or solutions; assists in fabrication and/or assembly of prototype devices
- Verifies implemented quality improvements to the manufacturing process
- Uses problem solving techniques to report root cause of failures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Ability to set-up, calibrate and use sophisticated or specialized measurement devices and test equipment
- Thorough understanding of internal combustion engines and their operation as well as specialized technical areas of operation
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to perform root cause, engine failure and other in-depth analyses
- Familiarity with small engines and small engine dynamometers
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of SPC, GD&T & metrology desired
- FMEA knowledge and experience preferred
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Competencies
Education
- Associates Degree in Engine Technology, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum three years experience working with small engines and engine powered equipment
- Experience in Advance Quality Planning preferred
Certifications Preferred

Maintains high quality standards of finished product by monitoring quality procedures throughout the assembly process while providing leadership in commitment to a quality culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitors the daily adherence to established quality standards and procedures and recommends changes.
- Oversees the daily auditing of finished products.
- Investigates root causes of assembly defects and initiates the corrective action process as required.
- Works with cross functional teams to resolve quality issues discovered by customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Experience Requirements
- 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment involved with final assembly
