Briggs & Stratton / Billy Goat, located in Lee's Summit, Missouri, is a leading and innovative manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. We specialize in the design and manufacture of machines in three product groups: Debris Management (vacuums, blowers, and debris loaders), Lawn Renovation, and Brush Cutters. We have an immediate opening for a full time Inventory Coordinator to support our operations.

Work Hours: 5 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Overtime is required at various times during the year.  Starting rate is $17.00 and up depending on experience.  Must be able to pass background check and drug test.

Position Description

Performs a variety of duties in receiving, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock to ensure that all materials are available for plant operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Determines, maintains and reviews inventory accuracy through cycle counting, annual inventory and the inventory turn process and makes corrections as necessary.
  2. Verifies material moves with internal and external customers.
  3. Maintains tracking of deviations and engineering change notices (ECN).
  4. Support manufacturing by reporting/correcting production work orders.
  5. Support the training of material handlers in the proper way of transacting inventory.
  6. Work with Purchasing and Accounting to correct costing errors.
  7. Perform receiving duties as needed.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong computer, math, and reading skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


High School diploma

Experience Requirements

Some inventory / materials experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Some physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70lbs.
Generally good working conditions.
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
