Briggs & Stratton / Billy Goat, located in Lee's Summit, Missouri, is a leading and innovative manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. We specialize in the design and manufacture of machines in three product groups: Debris Management (vacuums, blowers, and debris loaders), Lawn Renovation, and Brush Cutters. We have an immediate opening for a full time Account Manager Senior to manage our national accounts and their suppliers for the Lawn Application and Renovation industry.  Position requires 60% travel and can be located in the Mid-West, North East, or South East parts of the US.  Come and to help us deliver to our customers during this period of significant growth.  

Position Description

Develops partnerships and alliances with existing and new customer and distributor accounts. Develops and implements plans to achieve financial goals and manages overall account relationships. Provides guidance and direction to internal and external customers to maximize sales opportunities. Develops business plans that maximize sales growth and profitability. Monitors market and competitive trends and develops plans to meet markets changes.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manages accounts to meet strategic goals by making sales calls and developing account level business plans
  2. Works with Product Management to develop new product features and benefits to drive competitive advantages in the marketplace. Develops plans to implement new products with assigned customer base.
  3. Recommends sales promotions to the marketing department; develops and implements product merchandising
  4. Analyzes sales and market trend to formulate policy, promote sales, determine customer needs, volume potential and price schedules
  5. Manage account level P&L to insure maximum sales volume and profitability
  6. Reports sales activity to upper management
  7. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient computer skills especially Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid negotiating skills
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

- Minimum of five years of experience Selling to or working for national applicator accounts or their distributor (ie. Weedman, Lawn Doctor, SiteOne) required.

- Selling and or hands-on experience with aerator, overseeders, and spreader sprayers required.
