Position Description

Processes, investigates, and reports on warranty claims for various product failures and/or dealer trends.   Analyzes warranty data using statistical techniques to identify warranty reduction projects and emerging issues. Tracks project updates. Resolves service and assembly line issues. Compiles and presents overviews of metrics and emerging issues to warranty team.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Processes and resolves warranty claims received from dealers, OEMs, and retailer accounts
  2. Investigates and reports on product failures and unusual dealer warranty trends
  3. Provides counsel on various warranty system and eClaim support/enhancements
  4. Gathers and analyzes claim data in preparation for various dealer audits
  5. Provides assistance to warranty analysts in parts return as requested
  6. Analyzes moderately complex warranty trend data and identifies warranty reduction projects; compiles and presents overview of warranty trend metrics
  7. Identifies emerging issues through the use of statistical techniques; compiles and presents emerging issues to key stakeholders
  8. Provides warranty and service history feedback and forecasts basic trends to necessary departments
  9. Participates in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with  diverse groups of people
  • Strong skills with data analysis/query tools
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Associates Degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

Minimum of five years experience in technical positions, data analysis or equivalent role in engine manufacturing
