As a Planner Scheduler your goal is to perform liaison activities in the manufacturing areas of production to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing schedules and commitments. You’ll also be responsible for order entry of requested material and maintaining inventory levels.

 

You will do this by:

  • Scheduling Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order products
  • Responding to more complex requests regarding planning and scheduling
  • Investigating scope of more complex requests and consults with appropriate personnel to determine scheduling status and/or feasibility
  • Coordinating with others to facilitate the timely completion of the scheduled request
  • Preparing and maintaining supporting documents related to the planned request as required
  • Communicating with In-house Fabrication and Purchasing teams in order to maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Expediting processing of parts and components or distribution center materials by releasing and processing customer orders
  • Maintaining records and related documents on processing and production and/or distribution center in support of division goals and programs
  • Communicating with the Inside Sales and Purchasing teams to verify shipment of goods as promised
  • Maintaining and updating Material Requirement Planning/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) system

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of three years experience in shipping/receiving or related manufacturing functions
  • Familiarity with ERP system transactions for a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with office software and general PC skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, including working with cloud-based files and sharing with many users
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP SmartLists and Sales and Manufacturing modules
  • Experience developing reporting to track manufacturing and delivery performance metrics

 

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse groups of people
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to exercise judgment while handling multiple priorities
  • Expanded knowledge of manufacturing procedures (MRP, AVS, Master Scheduling, Bills of Material), material identities, part relationships, production systems and related computer software
  • Solid knowledge of inventory management programs and systems
  • Ability to read and/or interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings
  • Ability to apply mathematical skills in order to complete and maintain records and reports
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
