Briggs & Stratton / Billy Goat is a leading and innovative manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. We specialize in the design and manufacture of machines in three product groups: Debris Management (vacuums, blowers, and debris loaders), Lawn Renovation, and Brush Cutters. We have an immediate opening for a full time Material Handler/Forklift Operator to support our operations at our warehouse located in the Fairfax District (1601 Fairfax Trafficway, Kansas City, Kansas 66115).
Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Overtime is required at various times during the year. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Starting pay depends on experience and will have the opportunity to qualify for additional pay rate increase after 90 days. Review in 90 after hire.
Benefits: We offer a complete benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective on the 32nd day of employment. You will be eligible for a generous 401k plan after 45 days of employment. Full time employees are also eligible for paid holidays, PTO (paid time off), and quarterly productivity and attendance bonuses. $500 Bonus payable after a successful 90 days of employment.
Position Description
Handles incoming and outgoing materials to support production requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Resolves exceptions to incoming materials processing
- Processes customer returns in business related software and work with other departments to resolve
- Monitors production and insure sufficient inventory is on-hand and available as needed
- Works with various departments to fulfill customer needs including maintaining customer orders and expediting incoming orders
- Responsible for the coordination of, and accuracy of cycle counting
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
- Ability to safely and efficiently operator forklift
- Computer skills including; Excel and SAP
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Experience Requirements
- Previous material handling experience preferred
