Territory Sales Manager - Allmand

Our Allmand team is adding a Territory Sales Manager. The TSM is the face of Allmand in the field. You'll be responsible for calling on customers in addition to being hands on doing equipment demos and trainings for our customers and end users. This role is a great opportunity to take ownership of your territory, bringing your equipment knowledge and growing your territory and the business. The position can be remote, based within the territory being covered - Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.

Position Description

Manages and expands the profitable sale of a broad range of Allmand products through consultative selling to customers in an assigned territory.  Manages customer expectations through conflict resolution skills. Secures customer orders and effectively communicates, implements and executes all applicable company programs to customers.  

Job Responsibilities

  1. Presents sales & marketing programs to secure new and existing orders from customers; develops business partnerships with new and existing customers
  2. Maintains level of service and communication of customers by a regular and consistent call cycle, to include phone contact as well as personal visits
  3. Recruits new customers based on market potential and company strategy and objectives
  4. Interfaces with assigned management and support personnel as necessary for consistent, open communication, customer support, implementation of company programs and achievement of territory and company goals and objectives
  5. Meets territory goals/objectives based on a business plan; maintains (revise & update) on an ongoing basis as necessary; implements same
  6. Controls and reduces selling costs thru efficient customer ranking, routing, planning and expense control
  7. Reviews and analyzes sales and marketing data to promote sales,determine customer needs and provide forecasting information; Communicates trends and opportunities
  8. Promotes the sell-thru of customer commitments thru advertising, planning and implementation of group ad campaigns and promoting individual customer advertising & sound merchandising practices.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Ability to analyze sales trends to identify alternatives that will maximize sales opportunities
  • Solid knowledge of all Briggs & Stratton products and sales procedures
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Solid computer skills including understanding of sales software systems, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently; solid organizational skills
  • Must possess the desire to continuously improve through training
  • Ability to manage business schedule and territory travel effectively
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field OR equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a sales or customer service environment
  • Previous experience with construction equipment strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 70%
  • Able to safely load, secure and operate a variety of company trailers
  • Valid drivers license
