We have an immediate opening for a Senior Account Manager to support our growing business. You'll have a chance to work with a leader in the product category supporting multi-channel sales. This position can be remote, residing in our southeast region of the United States. Territory includes: Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.

Position Description

Briggs & Stratton / Billy Goat, located in Lee's Summit, Missouri, is a leading and innovative manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. We specialize in the design and manufacture of machines in three product groups: Debris Management (vacuums, blowers, and debris loaders), Lawn Renovation, and Brush Cutters.  

As an Account Manager, your role will be to develop partnerships and alliances with existing and new customer and distributor accounts. You will develop  and implement plans to achieve financial goals and manage overall account relationships. You will provide guidance and direction to internal and external customers to maximize sales opportunities. You will also develop business plans that maximize sales growth and profitability. Monitors market and competitive trends and develops plans to meet market changes.  You will  have the opportunity to work with a leader in the product category supporting multi-channel sales. 

This position can be remote, residing in our southeast region of the United States. Territory includes: Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.

You will do this by:

  • Managing accounts to meet strategic goals by making sales calls and developing account level business plans

  • Driving revenue through sales activities across multiple channels including: national rental accounts, distribution partners, and direct customers.

  • Working with Product Management to develop new product features and benefits to drive competitive advantages in the marketplace. Developing plans to implement new products with an assigned customer base.

  • Recommending sales promotions to the marketing department; develops and implements product merchandising

  • Analyzing sales and market trend to formulate policy, promote sales, determine customer needs, volume potential and price schedules

  • Managing account level P&L to insure maximum sales volume and profitability

  • Reporting sales activity to upper management

  • Performing other duties as assigned

You are the type of person who is/has:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Solid negotiating skills

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • 5-10 years of sales experience within the outdoor power equipment industry.

  • Experience selling into rental and retail channels.

  • Valid driver's license

Travel:

Up to 60%

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 50%
