Position Description

Provides a basic level of Human Resources support to one or more group(s) of employees.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Serves as the first point of contact for employees related to one or more functional HR areas; may develop reports or analysis as required; recommends action within HR and/or to employees
  2. Assists in the implementation of new or revised policies and procedures
  3. Assists with preparation of written communications and presentations related to one or more functional HR areas; may conduct training or presentations
  4. Assists with recruitment efforts for hourly and nonexempt employees, students and temporary workers; may conduct new-employee orientations
  5. May assist employees in developing goals and objectives and with performance management processes
  6. Assists employees to resolve compensation and benefits questions
  7. Develops, documents and recommends continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs
  8. Performs routine tasks to include but not limited to, attendance tracking, data entry, small projects, career fairs, etc.
  9. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • General knowledge of principles and practices of human resources functions or a specific function within HR
  • Good organization and time management or project management skills to help prioritize multiple projects with potentially conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Good communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making
  • Good computer skills
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum one year related experience in Human Resources or business environment preferred
