Position Description
Leads and performs engineering tasks working independently that are varied and complex which require troubleshooting and interpretation of data, development of new test methods or procedures and are used for a variety of situations. Develops, plans, and executes detailed design development as part of major projects of large scope. This role is within our Advanced Engineering Team. Its core responsibility will be the design & development of new and innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

- Initiates, evaluates progress and presents results of projects
- Provides technical inspiration, leadership, and consultation to professional co-workers
- Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems.
- Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field
- Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education
Experience Requirements
- Ten years of experience in an engineering role
- Recognized as an expert in a particular field of specialization, or have extensive knowledge of all design and development aspects for a particular Briggs & Stratton product or manufacturing process such as internal combustion engines
