Position Description

Creates and maintains parts manuals, and directly associated work, in a highly automated and system assisted environment.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Updates and publishes existing parts manuals via approved software and systems as assigned
  2. Writes new parts manuals via approved software and systems as assigned
  3. Maintains parts manual databases, both manual and automated
  4. Creates new parts and Bills of Material as needed in support of parts manuals; this activity is to be coordinated with technical service, engineering service and inventory management
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
  • Working knowledge in the use of computer based and assisted publication/technical drawing software
  • Ability to navigate and understand typical engineering documentation (drawings, specifications)
  • Good verbal, written, and team communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple task assignments and changes in priorities
  • Basic understanding of bill of materials and engineering change order systems
  • Basic data analysis and technical drawing skills
  • Basic understanding of how products are serviced
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Associates Degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Prior work experience preferred
  • Experience in publishing parts manuals, operator’s manuals, service books or service bulletins in an automated creation environment preferred
