Manager Product Life-Cycle Management

Position Description

Leads the Product Life-Cycle Management (PLM) system roadmap development and implementation; Manages day to day application and operational workload within the PLM and master data department.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops detailed roadmap for PLM implementation of product development business processes, change control and product data management

  2. Builds business cases for implementation through efficiency gains and new capabilities.  Manages capital and expense budgets to support implementation including initial investments with incremental benefits realization and projected software spend.

  3. Prepares and delivers frequent updates to senior leaders communicating progress to plan, variance and benefits realization 

  4. Delivers project planning and execution on time and on budget

  5. Fosters a process ownership culture to drive continuous improvement and standardization of work. Leads governance committee to prioritize work and gain by-in on changes.

  6. Frames and gains cross-division agreement on key decisions to support standardization of work.

  7. Drives data modeling and product data stewardship practice within the team and for the company

  8. Develops and reports on metrics for the success of projects before and after implementation

  9. Manages the work of groups of employees and develops direct reports to expand their capabilities in alignment with business objectives

  10. Facilitates strategic business decisions related to annual strategic/situational planning, long-term planning and supplier relationship agreements

  11. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Track record of leading enterprise system design and implementation success

  • Ability to prepare and present complex technical information

  • Knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP enterprise platforms preferred

  • Working understanding of EBITDA concept

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to form, work with and lead a team of diverse individuals in a variety of fields

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Working understanding of project management and understanding of company processes and procedures including, but not limited to new product development process

  • Working knowledge of IT code development and implementation

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or or related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of related experience
