Position Description

Leads the creation and implementation of a three year strategic plan for assigned product portfolio.  Manages portfolio growth and profitability  by evaluating and analyzing key customer needs and trends.  Leads all aspects of portfolio management including new product initiatives, cost reductions and warranty reductions by working collaboratively with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manages and communicates a strategic product roadmap to internal team, customers and partners
  2. Collaborates with marketing to define go-to-market strategy to meet business objectives
  3. Creates, implements and maintains operational, reporting and performance metrics including the Annual Operating Plan
  4. Supports sales team through participation in key customer planning & meetings, channel initiatives, and product training
  5. Identifies and leads evaluation of new business opportunities including new product categories, markets, regions, channels and/or acquisitions
  6. Partners with Operations and Supply Chain to improve product cost and quality
  7. Identifies, develops and implements process improvements to drive consistency and efficiency
  8. Directs the work of groups of employees (leads through managers)
  9. Performs other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years product management experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

May require some travel of a scheduled or urgent nature.
